Date: 4-1-12 To Whom It May Concern, I'm a photographer in Des Moines and I have a show coming up in October at the State Library here in Des Moines. As my theme for the show, I've decided to showcase "Small Town Treasures". I've gotten a list from the Census Bureau, of all towns/cities in Iowa with a population of 1500 or less, and within 150 miles of Des Moines. My goal is to go to as many of these towns as possible between now and early September to find each town's own little hidden treasure. In Dexter, I took pictures of Drew's Chocolates. In Menlo, it was the Menlo Cafe. Your town is on my list! I'm contacting you to find out what you would consider your town's "treasure". Any information and/or opinions you could share with me would help me greatly on this journey. I will be keeping track of all of the responses I get, and then I will make sure everyone gets invites to the opening of the show, as well as a link to an online gallery with the pictures that will be on display.
Thank you so much for any help you may offer. Robin Pryor 515-419-1591 |
